Old Gen Parents vs New Gen Parents

As the generation is changing, so do the thought process of each person. How a person thinks makes a lot of difference as the raising of his child totally depends on it. Yeah, you got it right, today I would be writing about the difference between parenting style of my parents and new parents ( as gathered from reliable sources ).

Enhanced Technology

     Technology is changing every now and then and becoming more affordable for every person. What is possible now has never been possible at my age. Now, every information is in our palms but I use to scrape all textbooks for some information. As soon as the child is born, they start playing with a smartphone and we have seen a mobile phone when I am in my high school and that too very expensive ( what facilities it offers then ). Technology really matters most as that will have an impact on your study, playing, and many more day to day life chores.

Family Time

     Our parents have managed time so efficiently that they have some time to spend with their family after work. Everyone is so relaxed then, watch TV Serials, Movies on one screen and nowadays, you all know, everyone is watching in their respective screens but no one knows what the other is watching in short everyone is busy with their smartphone. I use to remember, we all play dumb charades for leisure. I have read somewhere which clearly shows the difference in the time. In my time, it is “Landline United the Family” but now it is completely opposite “Mobile divided the family”.

Sports Time

     I used to remember my mother used to drag me out of the fields to stop playing and have some food and now you all know how mothers use to scold their child to go out and play. Nowadays, there is no physical work left but if I get a chance now, I would like to go out and play with my friends and my mother will not stop me. ( While reading, if you remember sports played by you in your childhood and your mother scold you to come home, just write in the comment section below, everyone should feel nostalgic after reading your comments. )

Strict Punishments

     This is the worst thing we have experienced in our childhood. Literally, we are scared of doing something wrong or not completing our homework as we have a fear of some strict punishments. Now, parents are scared of giving punishment as it might get a child some neuro disease or some harm would be done as if their child is so delicate that he could not bear that punishment. Some punishments I remember were being a murga in front of the class, some beatings, playground ke chakkar and many more. ( If you remember more punishments, then do comment below. It would be fun to read punishments ). 

As you have read this blog till now, you must have seen so much difference in parenting then and now but I can guarantee that the feeling of parents towards their children always remains the same. They always want to give their child the best they can afford. So, this blog is for all, who think that their parents are not loving them.
