The Comfortable Life Is Killing You

scholarayu the comfortable life is killing you

This is the era where we live with the highest living standards, having easy access to most of our needs but still, we are angry, depressed, miserable, surrounded by anxiety, and all such negative thoughts.

Depression rates are rapidly increasing in all parts of the country. From a schoolchild to an old age uncle everyone seems to be depressed from some of the other reasons. Even suicide cases and depression cases are mostly found in teens. Small children are having anxiety attacks. This is all because of social media and smartphones.

But WHY? A big question mark.

Why many of us are depressed when we have infinite possibilities?
I believe depression arises when we are overthinking too much for a particular thing and we are filled with anger like a balloon with excess air ready to burst anytime.

And anxiety can come from anywhere. Basically, it is when you are frustrated with the world you are in, you cannot feel your existence in this world, you are lost, disoriented in your own life - feeling you are incapable of building your future.

It's simply because in this modern society, we do not want to throw ourselves into action, we don't want to struggle out for anything. This happens with all of us. We work for hardly 5 days pondering we will be successful. We have forgotten those hardships.

Maybe it is because we have always worked from behind the curtains, wearing masks of our culture, and never developed our essence. It's happening because we are robots of the polarizing media that have developed us into machines.

Maybe from the beginning, we have been taught that status, expensive houses, cars, long and fancy vacations, clothes and many more things are the way to our happiness. In the past few years, we have lost the connection with our mother earth and spending our lives within fully air-conditioned cubicles sitting in front of screens.

Or maybe it's because we are accepting and sitting around so much to wait for God or the universe to provide us the life we want instead of taking the hard road to achieve the goal.

Still, we have managed to build a comfortable and thriving civilization. The comfortable life is lowering man's resistance.

Let's see what we can do to overcome this emptiness.

1.  LET GO
Many of us usually hate our jobs. The rat race is killing us. We generally let go of our life that we have planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us. When we see the life we are living, which is not catering to our passions, we should change it without giving a second thought. We need to recapture us before we get into the cultures. Yes, this is dangerous and painful, but you must not stop and push yourself a bit to be a better version of yourself.

A famous proverb says "No success pays off without doing hard work."

2.  SUFFERINGS
Always embrace your sufferings. You will only grow when you will start learning from suffering. Every suffering has taught you a lesson in your life. This is the time when we have to transfer our energy to the characters.

3.  RECONNECT WITH THE EARTH
We humans are the only ones who refuse to be what we are. We are the only instincts who doesn't care about this earth and instead we all are captured with phones and 9-5 mask. And to get relief from depression, anxiety, and such diseases we need to get back to nature.

We need to do meditation, walk, gardening, etc. to relive with nature again.

I would conclude the post by saying - Something that is beyond a miracle at this time is - to be alive at this moment. If you are willing to try either - go all the way or don't even start.
