Strike When The Iron is Hot

Everyone wants to be successful, but not everyone can succeed. Life presents many opportunities and you must grab them when you get the one otherwise you will miss the chance. Those who do not let the right opportunity pass by them becomes successful in their future.

No matter if opportunity is big or small, you should grab it as soon as you observe it. Not always life will allow you to move forward. These opportunities are sent by God through someone which helps us to move forward. Something or someone is the two words that help us in our life in any way.

So from the above, you might have understood what I will tell you, if not, then it's the famous proverb "Strike when the iron is hot." It is basically derived from an ironsmith that he puts the iron in a furnace until it becomes red hot. Once it is hot, the iron becomes soft and without wasting a single second, the ironsmith molds it into the desired shape. But if he will wait the iron will cool down and he will end up losing an excellent opportunity. Similarly, is the case in our life.

Like, if we talk about sports, the winner is the one who looks for opportunities to overcome his opponents and he grabs them by observing his opponent's weakness.

This is true that once the opportunity is out of our hand it will never come back. And as human nature, once we lose the opportunity, we regret it for a lifetime. We would be only able to grab the opportunity when we put in all of our efforts and efficiency to achieve it. Because if we see the opportunity and think we will achieve it by sitting idle that won't be possible. To achieve something we have to give.

A small change can turn into a golden gift in your life. Success adds up the confidence to one's personality, whereas failure lowers the morale of the person. The same is the case when one misses out an opportunity.

One instance I would tell you when I was in my high school there came an opportunity for participating in a street play. Many of the students rejected because earlier when there were street plays the school didn't win the prize so most of us thought the same would happen this time. But any time there can be an u-turn and the same happened in this situation. Those who participated this time they won the first prize and also grabbed the best street play prize which was unbelievable for all. And those who rejected the offer kept on regretting. So this teaches us the meaning of our today's topic. Hit the opportunity when you find any.

Certain people often fail in evaluating the circumstances and recognizing the opportunity. After the opportunity is gone, they simply curse their stars or their ill luck for failure. These people don't realize that the fault doesn't lie in their stars but in themselves.

The wise are always on the alert and the right person to think always beats when the iron is hot.

Shakespeare has said the same thing in his play Julius Ceasar when he wrote:-
'There is a tide in the affairs of men
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their lives
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.'

So be like ironsmith and hit the iron when it is hot.
