All Work And No Play Makes Jack A Dull Boy

Hard-working, studious, dedicated, concentrated, and many such words we use for the person who puts all his efforts in completing his work. Though we all know industrious work is needed to achieve our desired goals. But would you like to talk to a boring person? I believe no one would like to talk to a boring person who always works and always talk about work only. He doesn't have any other enjoyment in his life. Similarly, working with full concentration and no recreation tends to make a person dull and unsociable.
So today I thought of writing on the famous inspiring proverb "All Work And No Play Makes Jack A Dull Boy." A person without taking off from work becomes bored as well as boring.

We have often heard in our childhood the famous line used by our parents "First Complete Your Work Then You will be allowed to play out." This seems a logical option at first and keeping sports at the last thing to be done. This is absolutely wrong because you are harming the long-term potential of kids.

Parents think sports don't have any career. And many among us face so much criticism if we want to get into sports. Instead, sports is a very good therapy to improve maths and language as sports improve and involves thinking skills.

When a child goes out for playing, he develops many skills like leadership, social skills, mental health, dynamic skills while working in a team, control of emotions, etc. When a child plays a sport, he channelizes his extra energy and helps in concentration. This will develop respect for leadership in a child.

Not only this but when a child goes out to play he learns patience and self-confidence. Also, while playing with his age group children, he will learn how to interact later developing social skills, sharing, etc.

Our mind can work for long hours but a point of time come when the brain stops to analyze, react, think, and much more. So, the brain also feels overburdened and overtaxed. An overtaxed mind makes the personality dull as he will not socialize.

We often saw children who keep on studying and we term them as bookworms. Every class has a bookworm and almost everyone makes fun of him not because he is good at studying but because he hardly communicates with his classmates.

Often many parents force children to study all time but this is in turn makes a child a bookworm with no social abilities. We also have experienced this, when our mind is fresh and rejuvenated, we can easily grab the knowledge. So, proper recreation is also important for a person.
Recreation helps to take out our inner abilities.

That's why even in schools we have a games period so that a child develops many other skills too when he is relaxing his mind. Schools often emphasis on extracurricular activities because we cannot get everything from studies we need to be an 'All Rounder Child'.

There should be a balance between studies and recreation to have a proper trim mind. This is important for an adult as well as for a child. But more important for a child because he is at an age where he has to learn and develop many things and at this age, he can be easily molded.

So, I will sum up by saying a person with all work and no recreation will make him dull in all aspects whereas Jack with a balanced lifestyle in his work and recreation will become an appreciated personality in the society.
