Online learning was supposed to Democratise Education. Coronavirus changed this.

One afternoon in March, dozen of schools had arrived with a warning to keep institutions close as COVID-19 was spreading farther and faster. Teachers were required to conduct online classes.
Teachers got panicked and hurriedly explore which chat app to use and the best way to assign homework, projects, assignments.

Web-based learning is online learning, or we can say ed-tech. And due to this pandemic situation, this industry has a pace in its growth. Every small city is providing online classes so that, there should be no loss to the students.

Though these resources are not equally distributed with traditional education. Students are facing difficulties as some are not having laptops, proper internet connection, and so many things that expel the enthusiasm of the student.

Some of the inequalities are harder to address, as a distraction from the home environment. The biggest distraction in the home is a phone, students are free to use mobile phones while the classes are on the move. They just turn-off their videos and mute their audios and enjoy and get disrupted in all the ways they can.

It's difficult for those who have some disability and they need one-on-one guidance. They are not able to get proper support and the environment.

Teachers are also facing many problems, like again a distraction from the home environment. Some schools have ordered online classes in the form of videos like they have to teach in a video and that will be broadcasted through WhatsApp. And the oldest generation of teachers is literally pulling their hairs out now. And at the age of 50s, they are having their computer courses through youtube indeed it's interesting but difficult too.

They are liable for their jobs, they have to rush and be in a modest dress before going live as throughout they will be judged by the students.

It's quite unpredictable for how long this shutdown will continue and for how long the busy corridors of school be remain vacant or might be for a whole academic year.

Teachers are in the dilemma of preparing their academic schedules as the future is unpredictable. It's really hard to change anything overnight and the same is the case with online classes. And many of the institutions have decided to make online classes a part of it, so, in any situation no one should suffer.

Let's hope for the best as hope is the only way to overcome this situation.
